Check-in and Check-out Procedures
- Check-in is after 4pm and check-out is by 10am.
- Must electronically sign a Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Due to neighborhood restrictions, reservations may only be booked more than 3 days, or 72 hours, prior to arrival.
- Guests must complete an information form for the Hound Ears neighborhood upon booking; reservation approval is based on this form.
Property Access
- The condo is within the gated community of Hound Ears with 24/7 security on-site.
- All community roads are paved and maintained in the winter for access.
- This home has a paved driveway with assigned parking capacity for 2 vehicles.
- There are 6 steps to enter the main level.
- Guests have access to hiking trails that start at the highest point of the property. There is parking for several cars at that location, along with picnic tables and access to trails.
- A short walk from the condo leads to a Watauga River access point with a picnic table.
Policies and Rules
- No smoking allowed inside the home or anywhere on the property.
- No trace of smoking is to be left outside the home.
- No pets allowed per Condo Association policy.
- Rental guests cannot access any Hound Ears Club amenities or buildings, including golf, pool, tennis, or the restaurant, as per Club rules updated in late 2023.
- Motorcycles are not permitted in the Hound Ears community.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy are allowed at any time. Keep outside noise at a reasonable level.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book or digital guidebook.
- Minimum age to reserve: 25 years. The person reserving must sign the agreement and stay on the property for the reserved dates.
- Children allowed.
- No events allowed.

Parking Information
- Assigned parking for 2 vehicles in paved driveway.

- A starter set of paper products provided: one roll toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few dishwasher detergent tablets, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and makeup remover cloths (sufficient for one or two nights).
- Towels and linens provided.
- Fully equipped kitchen with cabinet and counter space.
- High-speed internet, dishwasher, toaster, washing machine, dryer, climate control, oven, stove, iron and ironing board, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector, and patio are available.
